10,000 Maniacs Signs On!!!http://www.maniacs.com/shapeimage_5_link_0

The McCauley Mountain Music Festival is proud to announce the signing of 3x Platinum Album recordists 10,000 Maniacs to its 2011 lineup.  10,000 Maniacs are currently on their 30th Anniversary Tour and will make a stop in Old Forge, NY on August 6 to headline the 2nd annual McCauley Mt. Music Fest.

Widely considered one of the original “indie” bands and a pioneer of the alternative rock genre, 10,000 Maniacs vaulted lead singer Natalie Merchant to stardom.  Their MTV Unplugged album, released in 1993, went 3x Platinum.

The Nards Coming Back

The McCauley Mountain Music Festival would like to welcome back The Nards featuring Paul Case to this year’s event.  The band put on a show at last years festival, and are eager to push the bar to the next level.

Lucid Joins the Festival

Plattsburgh-area band Lucid has joined the lineup for the 2011 McCauley Mountain Music Fest.  In Lucid, concert-goers will be treated to one of, if not the best, blues/rock sound the Adirondacks has to offer.  We are pleased Lucid, hosts of the annual Backwoods Pondfest, will be making the McCauley Mt. Music Fest one of their stops as they continue their travels across the northeastern United States.

Mark Doyle bringing more Maniacs to this year’s show

Mark Doyle and the Maniacs will be rounding the 2011 McCauley Mt. Music Fest’s main stage performances.  These Syracuse-based Maniacs have brought back, and twisted, the classic sounds from the 1960’s British Blues era.  One of the most respected acts coming out of central NY, the Maniacs have received many accolades, from both critics and their peers, most recently the 2010 SAMMY Award for Best Blues Album.

Studio-sensation Mark Doyle brings a diverse and impressive discography to the lineup, providing serious guitar tracks and arrangements for musicians such as Hall & Oates, Bryan Adams, Meatloaf, Tiffany and The New Kids On The Block.  That kind of versatility has made Doyle one of the most respected and relevant guitarists in the music industry for almost 40 years.
